"Electrica Muntenia Nord " – S.A. introducing itself

   It was in 2001 that the company The Electricity Supply and Distribution Branch Muntenia Nord S.A. (F.D.F.E.E. Muntenia Nord) was founded. Ever since, the activity of our organization has grown every year, under various forms of restructuring and under several names, but has kept one defining characteristic unchanged: an exceptional service tender. Among these, the distribution and the supply are the main services offered by Electrica Muntenia Nord. The headquarters of our institution is in Ploiesti no.44 Prahova county. F.D.F.E.E. " Electrica Muntenia Nord " is formed of six Electricity Supply and Distribution Centers (SDFEE ) in the center and east of the country, having headquarters in the counties’ reference cities: Braila, Buzau, Focsani, Galati, Ploiesti and Târgoviste.

   The last years have led to the continuous growth of the number of clients of The Electricity Supply and Distribution Branch Muntenia Nord S.A. Within the entire covered area (29,765 square km.), in 2002, as compared to 2001, the total number of clients grew by approximately 1.8%, reaching the number of 1,221,128. The growing trend of the number of clients is the same for all categories of consumers, be they household consumers (1,145,726 ) , small consumers (73,838 ) or great consumers (1,564 ). 2533 experts are taking care of supplying good services to the over 1, 200 thousand consumers of electricity of Electrica Muntenia Nord .

   The Electricity Supply and Distribution Branch Muntenia Nord sold, in 2002, over 6.5 million MWh, a sales level that ranges it among the first at the national level from this point of view. The quality of the delivered electricity largely depends on the volume, the technical condition and the viability of the electric installations through which the electricity is transported and distributed. The Electrica Muntenia Nord Branch administrates 41,844 km of electric lines – aerial and subterraneous, 205 transformation stations and 9475 supply units and transformation stations.
