1893 is the year when the Galati Anonymous Society of Gas
Lighting and Electricity. Ever since, the activity of our company has grown
every year, has undergone many organization forms and has operated under several
names, but has kept one defining characteristic: an exceptional tender of services.
Electricity distribution and supply are the main services
supplied by SDFEE Galati. Our organization provides electricity contracting,
its delivery at the parameters established by contract, as well as continuity
in electricity supplies according to the safety level contracted by each and
every client. Every day, over 200 thousand clients use the service supplied
by us. It is the reason for which we strive to provide them with the best services
at any moment.
Volume of sales
In 2002 The Galati Distribution Center sold 2 286 583 MWh,
the sold electricity volume per employee being 4 773 MWh.
Clients
The last years have led to a continuous growth of the number of clients of the
Galati Electricity Distribution and Supply Center. In the entire area we are
supplying, (about 4466 kmp), in 2002 as compared to 2001, the total number of
clients has grown by approximately 1.4%, reaching 226 512. The growing trend
of the number of clients is kept in all the categories of consumers, be they
household or industrial consumers.
Employees
We consider that progress cannot be achieved without the
mastery and engagement of all our employees. The 479 experts deal with offering
good services to the over 226 thousand electricity consumers in Galati county.
The volume of installations in the administration
of SDFEE Galati
The quality of the delivered electricity largely depends
on the volume, the technical condition and reliability of the energetic installations
through which the electricity is transported and distributed. The Galati Center
administers 7 088 km of aerial and subterraneous electric lines, 42 transformation
centers and over 1500 transformation stations and supply units.
Investments
The value of the financing sources used in 2002 exceeded
116 billion lei. All these amounts have been allotted to the investment works
that are necessary for the growth of the quality in the services supplied by
Electrica to its clients.

The social responsibility of SDFEE Galati
For
clients
Although the quality management principles and methods are
interwoven in all the activities of the organization, getting the ISO 9001 certification
was only a stage in the general preoccupation of SDFEE Galati for continuous
improvement.
The quality policy at the company level expresses the direction
of action and the employees’ involvement for continuous improvement. This
is communicated, implemented and maintained at all functional levels. SDFEE
Galati promotes a quality policy orientated towards the complete satisfaction
of the clients’ requirements for the supplied services.
If in 2001, the quality system in SDFEE Galati obtained its
certification, the quality system supervision audit - held in 2002 – has
brought the confirmation of its development.
For the employees
Besides the labour medicine, as a component of the professional
risk management, with the role of evaluating the employees’ health, with
respect to the work environment, a health program is developed in SDFEE Galati,
entitled balance... safety... performance.
In this program, in 2002, a new component was added, meant
to contribute in fighting stress at the place of work.
For the community
Through the actions we are undertaking and the partnerships
we are establishing, we take responsibility in front of the community we work
and live in. Our engagement for dialogue, mutual respect, partnership and long-lasting
development are all components of our organization’s social responsibility
