With over 35 years of experience in the field of electricity and natural gas, out of which he spent 20 years in managerial positions, Niculae Havrileţ helds, since February 2018, the position of counsellor to the Minister of Energy.
A graduate of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Niculae Havrileţ has gathered significant experience in the field of central public administration. Between June 2012 and October 2017, he held the position of President of the Romania’s National Energy Regulation Agency (ANRE), a time when he was also a member of the Council of Regulator Authorities within the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER), as well as a member of the General Assembly of the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER). Between 2002 and 2012, he served as General Secretary of the National Professional Association of Natural Gas, and from 2001 to 2012 he was General Manager of Gascop Company.
In 2000, Niculae Havrileţ was decorated with the Order of the “Star of Romania”, in the rank of Knight. Niculae Havrileţ has been appointed member of the Board of Directors of Electrica SA since February 2019.
