Radu Mircea Florescu
Born in 1961, Radu Florescu is currently the CEO of Centrade│Cheil, South East Europe,
the leading full service, digital, integrated communication company and regional hub for Cheil in South-East Europe (11 markets).
For more than 38 years, Radu Florescu worked in top multinational companies from Fortune 500, activating in emerging countries, including programs financed from EU funds. Mr. Florescu began his career in trading at NYMEX where he coordinated all trading activities for petroleum products and precious metals.
Among other positions held are: Founding member of IAA (International Advertising Association) – Member of the Board of Directors, Vice-President 1996-2000; Co-founder and President of the Romanian Association of Advertising Agencies (UAPR), 1999 – 2015; Vice-president of UAPR, 2015 – present; Member of the European Board of the EACA representing Romania & Eastern Europe to Brussels (2012 – 2014, 2016 – present); Board member and vice-president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (2013 – 2015, 2016 – 2019).
Radu Florescu is also active in the field of social responsibility, having a long history of contribution in local community, presently acting as Member of the Board of Directors for different organizations such as AIESEC Romania (International Association of Students in Economics), Junior Achievement Program, OvidiuRo, Principesa Margareta Foundation, ASEBUSS and United Way Romania.
Radu Florescu is member of the Board of Directors of Electrica starting February 2019 being reelected in this position on 28th of April 2021 and starting 6th of May 2021 was elected President of the Audit and Risk Committee and member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
